12 Years at La Mesa Giving Campaign
Hope Happens Here — celebrating a decade-plus of welcome, meals, worship, and walking alongside our neighbors. Join us September 24–30, 2026 as we raise money for this ministry.
Our Story
Twelve years ago, a ministry called La Mesa was launched. We are thankful for all God has done — and we invite you to partner with us for the next twelve.
Every day at La Mesa, neighbors find a hot meal, dignity, and the love of Jesus. It costs just $2.05 a meal, and we feed about 225–275 people each week. Since 2014 we have served 125,433 meals. A gift of $25 provides about 12 meals.
After the meal, worship is offered for those who wish to stay — music, prayer, and hope. Fifty-seven neighbors have been baptized into the family of God. To keep serving well, we need new sound equipment and a laptop for Tuesday service.
We also walk with people beyond the building. Each week we give out 100–120 bus passes — our largest monthly expense — so neighbors can reach jobs, appointments, and La Mesa. Our Mobile Loaves truck goes where they are on the streets of Mesa and Tempe with food, clothing, hygiene, and friends who show up. Our Resource Center helps with forms, IDs, housing, mail, rides, recovery partners, and a financial class.
