Serving with La Mesa

Thank you for looking for ways to serve. La Mesa has so many ways you can help! These cover many of the opportunities but there are always more. If you don’t see something that aligns with your gifts, contact us and we will find a way you can help! Below are different serving opportunities.

Help with meals

Calling all cooks, we need you!!  Can you follow a recipe, prepare a salad, fruit or dessert? We are looking for individuals or groups to cook for La Mesa.  There are many ways you can help. You can prepare single pans of food or gather your friends and prepare multiple pans. You can cook in advance at a time that is convenient for you and someone else can take care of warming and transporting the food as needed. You can also cook or prepare salads, fruit or dessert on a Tuesday and join us to serve the La Mesa community. We provide recipes and as much support as needed from our experienced cooks to make it as simple as possible for you. Donations are always welcome, but not required, receipts can be submitted for reimbursement (within 60 days) and details on budget per meal will be provided.

Music Team Opportunities

An important part of La Mesa is the worship service we do at 6:30 on Tuesday and Thursday nights after the meal. We are always looking for those who wish to use their gifts of music and song to bless the community in the service. We do two songs each night and would love to have you help! If you can sing or play an instrument and would like to help us, please contact us and we can discuss it in more detail!

Behind the Scenes Opportunities

Quite a bit goes on behind the scenes at La Mesa. We have many volunteer opportunities to support the ministry. Below are just some of the opportunities we have. If you see something that is a good fit for you, please let us know! We would love to have your help!
